Mr. Farris' practice concentrates in the areas of governmental relations, tax law, estate planning, and telecommunications law. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis, and his Masters of Law in Taxation from Frederic G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. Mr. Farris was a Delinquent Tax Attorney for Shelby County from 1988 to 1990, a member of the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission from 1994 to 1995, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Insurance Trust Fund from 1992 to 1995. Mr. Farris currently sits on the Tennessee Board of Regents and is a member of the Memphis and Tennessee Bar Associations and the Florida Bar.

Mr. Welch is the managing partner of FMB’s Nashville Office. He began his career in the Memphis Law Office of Farris Mathews in 1977 and relocated to Nashville in 1995, where he was responsible for opening the Nashville Law Office concentrating on Government Relations and Administrative Law. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his Juris Doctor degree from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis. Mr. Welch was an Assistant Shelby County Attorney from 1981 to 1997 and Assistant City Attorney for the City of Collierville from 1984 to 1998. He was honored in 2003 by the Nashville Post as one of Nashville’s Top 100 Lawyers and from 2004 through 2008 by Business TN as one of the Best Lawyers in the State of Tennessee. Mr. Welch is a member of the Memphis, Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations.

Ms. Lacey’s practice concentrates in the areas of Government Relations and Lobbying. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Ms. Lacey joined the firm in January 2008 after relocating to Nashville from Washington, D.C. where she worked as a policy advisor and legislative assistant to U. S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist. In addition to her policy experience, Ms. Lacey has held various positions on state, local and national political campaigns including political director, grassroots coordinator, advance coordinator and event director. She is a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Associations.

He obtained both his Bachelor of Science degree and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Before joining Farris Mathews Bobango, he was an associate attorney with The Bosch Law Firm, P.C. in Knoxville from 2004 to 2006, practicing primarily in the areas of criminal and civil litigation.
